Use Diet To Relieve A Female Yeast Infection

There are more than 20 known symptoms of a female yeast infection, which is also known as a Candida Albicans infection.

This problem can be exacerbated by women who eat a lot of sugar and carbohydrates, and therefore can be controlled by a controlled diet or eating program.

It is very important to find out what caused the overgrowth of the Candida, as it is actually essential to have Candida in a healthy human body. It is when some imbalance occurs that it gets out of control, and instead of battling infection, causes infection. If the underlying cause is not found, the result is generally recurring infection, and treatment is not effective.

The most comprehensive approach is for the patient to stop using any kind of antibiotic or steroid treatment (unless their life depends on it).

Immune suppressive drugs should also be stopped, as should birth control pills (except in the case of medical necessity).

A Candida control diet to enhance digestion, immune and liver function should be followed, and nutritional supplements can be found which can control the growth of this yeast into a fungus. It is when the Candida Albicans yeast becomes a fungus that the problems start.

Promoting health bacterial flora is essential, and Acidophilus supplementation has been found to be useless if used by itself. However if it is combined with other agents and the correct diet, you will experience better results.

Diets based on avoiding sugars and carbohydrates are suggested, and some doctors rule these agents out of a diet completely. Some diet programs even suggest that all fruit should be taken out of a diet until female yeast infection symptoms are resolved.

Avoiding foods with high yeast content also helps, and this includes, cheese, alcohol, peanuts, dried fruit and melons. Foods also considered to be highly allergenic should also be avoided. However, protein-rich vegetables and whole grains along with berries of all varieties can be eaten to relieve a female yeast infection.
