Diagnosing Candida Yeast Symptoms

Candida yeast symptoms are common, but it can sometimes difficult to diagnose the underlying cause. This is essential to prevent recurring infection by providing the correct treatment the first time. If the treatment is effective, then overall health can be improved and this is very important.

Correct diagnosing involves completing in-depth questionnaires together with other pathology. In some cases the doctor may only use a questionnaire due to the fact that candid lab tests can sometimes reveal conflicting results.

Candida Albicans is found in the intestines, throat, genital and urinary tracts of all humans, male or female. It is a normal to have flora in the lower digestive tract and Candida is one of these co-existing flora. The problem is that when the body is out of balance, digestive flora becomes disturbed and it becomes opportunistic.

There could be any number of reasons for Candida Albicans to start behaving in a pathogenic manner, and if you don't know what you have, self treatment may make matters worse.

In the healthy human body, Candida remains in a yeast form. When imbalances occur and it becomes fungal, the problems start. Signs and symptoms are many and about 20 different symptoms and more can manifest. These include, but are not limited to itching in the genital and or anal area, painful urination, and vaginal discharge.

Candidiasis in the male is not common unless they have a compromised immune system. More symptoms include cold hands or feet, hypoglycemia, impotence, bad breath, bloating, coating on tongue (oral thrush), irritable bowel syndrome, blurred vision, acne, recurrent bronchitis, muscle aches, pain, weakness and tension, fatigue, stiffness and joint pain, and the list just goes on and on.

Looking at this list of symptoms and realizing that this is hardly a fraction of the symptoms listed, makes it easy to understand why it is so difficult to diagnose Candida yeast symptoms.
