3 Effective Yeast Infection Home Remedies

You might not believe it, but there really are safe yeast infection home remedies that really do work.

Before you take prescription or over-the-counter medications such as suppositories or creams, why not try the following commonly used natural home treatments.

Garlic
Garlic has been proven to kill yeast and is often used as a natural cure for infections.

You just put a clove of garlic into your vagina for a few hours before removing it. It’s best if you do this twice a day. Depending on the severity of your infection, you should see improvement within days.

Apple Cider Vinegar
Many women find that adding apple cider vinegar to their bath helps soothe the infected area and reduce excessive yeast.

Make sure the apple cider vinegar is diluted in enough water to avoid burning

Natural Yogurt
If your infection is active, you’ll want to eat at least 8 ounces of plain, sugar-free yogurt without preservatives each day.

Yogurt is rich in natural good bacteria, and can weaken your infection.

These natural yeast infection home remedies can help you safely get relief. Try them.

I am a retired female. Can I have agave sweetener, or some honey on the plain yogurt? It would make it easier to have 8 ounces a day. But would the milk product and honey or agave syrup taken together-would it create more yeast? I have had vaginal discharge since I was 14. It is pasty and it dries on my panties and sticks to my pubic hair. I have had pain in my uterus for several months. according to gynecologist, my paps smear test and biopsy turned out none malignant. He put me on Estrogen therapy for one year twice a week. The pain went away for 2-3 weeks and is back on and off now. I was in Mexico in Dec. I also took some Caprylic acid for a while early in Dec. and started taking the Estrogen in Dec. So I do not know why the pain in my uterus was almost gone by the end of Dec. and now it comes back sometimes for a few days and it is on and off. I also have itchy skin and while in Mexico I got something that looks like mosquito bites (1/8-1/4 inch, red and angry looking), they are very itchy. I dare not scratch them or they get worse. Mosquito bites go away in a weeks time but these "red pimples" that look like mosquito bites won't go away. At first they appear and are itchy. If I resist scratching they will lie dormant (smaller and brownish), but if I forget to not scratch them, or if my clothing causes chaffing they come back almost right away just as angry as when they first appeared. I have several of them. On my forehead, finger, arm, elbow, posterior, and four on my legs. They have appeared one by one since December of 2009. Some did appear in different parts of my body well after we got back from Mexico. Could yeast be the cause of my discharge, pain in the uterus, and these persistent "mosquito bites"? I now realize I have questions more than comments. I hope some one will read them and be so kind as to give me some answers. My doctor just insists I should take Estrogen regularly. In fact he started me with one a day then twice a week. I read the side effects and Cancer was the only one that was written in CAPITAL letters. Is my problem worse than cancer that warrants me to take Estrogen even if it could potentially cause cancer? Hello! What did I miss?
